During the course of the day at Lakeview Montessori School, the children are involved in both group and individual lessons. Besides the time spent working with the Montessori equipment, a portion of the day is also taken up with art activities, theme lessons, activities and singing. Frequent field trip also play an important role in Montessori
education. |
Our
Casa Program
Our Casa programme is geared to children age 2 1/2 years to 5 years old (including kindergarten aged children). Children will not be admitted unless they are toilet trained. They may attend full or half days. Maximum student:teacher ratio 8:1.
Our Lakeview Montessori Casa education emphasizes:
· learning through the use of concrete educational materials developed by Dr. Maria Montessori
· education based on individual progress according to the abilities of each child;
· learning through real life experiences (field trips are important as well as projects of cooking, sewing, planting, etc.);
· Assistance of the child in becoming an independent competent and confident individual
· acquiring of a second language through daily French language classes
· Respect for the developing person in each child |
